Blog 6: Postgraduate Studies
Hello everryone!
The topic of this blog seems very interesenting to me. Many times I have asked about the studies that I would like to do in the future and these are related to art and archives.
I think I would like to carry out studies on file preservation, specially what has to do in photographs. I find the information and history that these documents from interesting, It's like being an Indiana Jones in the librery haha.
I always found interesting studies that have to do with old things, now that I study art I feel that they can incline with my works and ultil have tried to make it so. In the Archivo Bello exist interships in different areas of preservation and old techniques of photograpy, as clening photos, order and dissemination of this material. I think it is important to take care of this type of things and that we all know the history of our city, the people and the important moments.
There are many groups of people who disseminate old images of Chile and his cities, but I think they do not make a reflection of the images, often only spread them on social networks and web pages. I think that art and investigation could be a way to value archives, although the work carried out by groups like Enterrenochile is amazing.

Artist like Eugenio Dittborn and Luz Donoso seem inspiring to me , because they connect the archives with their art and the Chilean society.
"Huincha sin fin hasta que nos digan donde están", Luz Donoso.
This artist works with archives of disappeared detainees, include photos of news papers, "carnet" photos, etc, and she built this "tape" with the material that found, many times only found familiar photos or news:(
